What survives
a degree?

Sahil Tayal studied commerce at Sri Venkateswara College and completed an MBA at JBIMS. The interesting part is how that education connects to the work that followed.

The education is part of the story, not the whole introduction.

Sahil Tayal is a New Delhi–based writer, independent researcher and creative builder. He completed a B.Com (Honours) at Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi, and an MBA in Human Resource Development at Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai. These are meaningful parts of his professional background. They are also an incomplete description of what he has chosen to make.

A qualification can describe a period of training, the institution in which it took place, and sometimes the subject of formal study. It cannot, by itself, tell you what a person now investigates, how they handle uncertainty, or whether they turn ideas into work that other people can inspect.

That distinction matters for anyone arriving here through a search for “Sahil Tayal JBIMS.” This page provides the connection, then points to the work instead of treating the credential as the destination.

What travels out of a management classroom?

Management education provides lenses for seeing organisations: incentives, coordination, culture, learning, motivation and the gap between a plan and what happens when people attempt to carry it out. Useful lenses, certainly. Complete explanations of human life, no.

Sahil's later interests in organisational behaviour, education and human capital sit near those questions. A recurring tension is the difference between describing people as resources that can create value and recognising people as ends in themselves. His public essay Human Capital for Humans explores that distinction, including objections and unresolved questions.

A related inquiry asks what happens between a sincere belief about oneself and the actions one manages to take. The Identity–Action Gap is explicitly presented as a proposed conceptual framework, not an established psychological discovery. That difference between a working hypothesis and a proven result is important.

A career path is not always a straight line.

His work has crossed organisational settings, consulting, public-sector experience and family retail. Those earlier experiences matter because abstract management ideas meet different constraints when they encounter everyday decisions, customers, procedures and limited time.

Today the public-facing work is independent: research-informed writing, educational experiments, interactive websites and creative projects including perfumery. Earlier retail experience is part of the background, not a description of his current job. The varied subjects are connected by a preference for learning through inquiry and by making things tangible enough to examine.

Credentials can open a conversation. A body of work is what keeps it going.

Follow what was made.

The simplest introduction is the central portfolio at sahiltayal.com. It is the most complete public index of projects and writing. For a more traditional biographical account, the About page sets out education, work history and current interests in greater detail.

There are other entrances for other kinds of readers. The Medium archive contains essays on education, culture, human behaviour and meaning. SYNAPSE demonstrates how a reading archive can become interactive. And sahilverse.online is a separate editorial field guide for readers who would rather begin with an interesting question than a biography.

None of these pages asks for the conclusion that one title — MBA, researcher, writer, builder — explains an entire person. They offer material a visitor can evaluate directly.

About the claims on this page: the educational and career background is an author-supplied profile, not independently certified by this website. The linked public essays and experiments can be evaluated on their own merits. This is an introductory identity page, not an academic publication or endorsement by JBIMS or the University of Delhi.
